Fujitsu Girls’ Phones Introduced in Japan

There will never be enough female-friendly smartphones, a category that sells very well in some countries including Japan. Fujitsu has announced two new handset specially designed for young girls.

The F-03D Girls’ (apparently, the apostrophe is included in the name) is an Android smartphone that has been developed in cooperation with Japanese teenage fashion magazine Popteen. It features a 3.7-inch LCD screen with 480 x 800 resolution, 1GB of ROAM, 512MB of RAM, Android 2.3, a 1.4GHz MSM8255 processor, an 8-megapixel CMOS camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, digital TV tuner, e-wallet function, and a microSDHC slot. The phone is encased in a waterproof body–although it is unclear how waterproof it can get–which has special lights at the bottom and around the camera. It comes pre-installed with photo frames and apps that females users will love.

Meanwhile, the F-06D Girls’ is a feature phone Fujitsu developed with nicola, another Japanese fashion magazine. The device features a 3.3-inch touch display, an 8-megapixel camera, and a stylus pen to decorate photos with scribbles. It also has pre-installed wallpapers, photo frames, and over 3,000 emoticons for cuter e-mails. The phone is also waterproof, just like the Popteen phone.
